Mangosuthu University of Technology changes gears

The Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) introduces new student registration system. The university has taken a new turn of online registration with the aim of increasing public safety.

The management have seen the dangers that happens during this time of the year, long registration queues which sometimes claims the lives of the people. This year students who wish to further their studies at MUT simply have to visit their website on and follow the indicated instructions on student registration.

Zwelakhe Shangase MUT’s Communications Officer says hopefully this new system will be helpful and it will save a lot of time and money for students and parents coming to the university for days and standing in long lines. He also urged student to apply early because registration has already started.

“This year student will benefit in many ways, we added new qualification, advanced and post graduates qualificationsthat MUT did not offer before,” says Shangase.

The system will also be helpful to the students from rural areas those who do not have transport money to come to the university and also a place to accommodate them for the days they spend looking for placements. Students who don’t have access to the internet will have to go to the nearest library and ask for help with regards to registering.
