Pizza Hut now in the heart of Soweto!

Where can you go to have a mouth watering pizza that offers ‘savvy deals’ for yourself and family? The answer would be to take a short turn to the Pizza Hut which is in the fabulous Township of Diepkloof in Soweto.

It was newly opened a week prior its official opening on Friday 5th December 2014. 

Pizza Hut persists with its local growth plans and the exciting opening of its 5th store in Gauteng. This specially chosen store opened in the prime position of the bustling Diepkloof Square Community Shopping Centre, Soweto. Pizza Hut fully owns this new branch and sees it as both a commitment and an investment into the iconic community.

Lawrence Phete an employee at Pizza Hut, who is responsible to maintain quality and the cleanliness to the restaurant, said that he is excited to work for the company, “I will ensure that we give our clients the best service and product at all times”

The choice to open in Soweto reinforces the brand’s commitment to being a local brand that caters for local communities and neighbourhoods. Pizza Hut is a brand for everyone, with an offering that will attract pizza lovers, families and friends.

Pizza Hut had an awesome launch for both consumer and Media on the day. Pepsi started the festivities with live music which was supported by lots of dancing and a bustling crowd. Then it was over to Ntswaki Kutumela, Legal Advisor of Pizza Hut Operations, who gave an informative and welcoming presentation to the media. Later in the day afro pop singer Speedy entertained everyone with a live performance.

The vibe was contagious and delicious pizza & Pepsi was handed out for all to sample. Kids had a fabulous day as a face painter was on hand to keep the kids busy as they queued to get their delicious pizzas.

Yvonne Nghonyama (22) a resident of Soweto and Cashier at the Pizza Hut said that their customers deserve the best, healthy, tasty food and the best service for their money

“That is what Pizza Hut offers to its customers and the training at the restaurant was about customer service. All customers deserve the out-most tender care regardless of their skin colour or standard”.

Customers couldn’t resist for any thrilling opportunity like this, but to capture the moment by taking photos of themselves and their pizzas at the photo booth. After taking the pictures, customers received copies to take home with them. And by sharing it on Pizza Hut’s Facebook page they were able to win free pizza for a month!

Also seen enjoining themselves was Brenda Ngxoli,Refilwe Modiselle and the newly crowned Miss Soweto, Elsie Mgabi who thoroughly enjoy eating pizza and socializing. What’s more, various media popped in to enjoy lunch and experience the vibe too.

Charles Ngcobo (37) a Regional Manager added that he is also happy that Pizza Hut is opened in Soweto, “I wish to see many more shops being opened in Soweto and all areas in the country. Our clients can also order from the comfort of their homes, we will deliver.

Pizza Hut Soweto offer yummy "Savvy Deals" which offer great value and are always right on the moolah. What’s more, the menu focuses on local is lekker toppings and can be enjoyed in one of two ways; the world famous Pan Base Pizza which is golden brown, light and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside; or the universally popular Traditional Base Pizza, which is not too thick and not too thin.
